1, 1924 - April 10, 2010SOUTH BEND - Christina Grabowski, 86, passed away at 4:40 a.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2010, in her home. Christina was born on March 1, 1924, in Poland, to the late Michal and Natalia (Mroz). On September 29, 1945, she married Dionizy Grabowski, who survives along with their two children, Mary Ann Grabowski and John "Chris" (Connie) Grabowski; and by two grandchildren, Christopher J. and Cara Grabowski, all of South Bend. Christina was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers including her favorite, African Violets. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. For those who are unable to attend the funeral liturgy, condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
