Hattie A. Grabarz, 79, of South Bend, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2006, at 3:35 p.m. in Regency Place Nursing Home, South Bend. Hattie was born on March 22, 1927, in St. Joseph, MI, to Julius and Mary (Zick) Kalbach.

On August 24, 1946, she married Stanley Grabarz in South Bend. Her parents and Stanley have all preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Walczewski of New Carlisle; three grandchildren, Aaron (Michelle) Walczewski of Mishawaka, Alexander and Andrew Walczewski of South Bend; and her great-grandson, Aidan. Hattie was a member of St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Catholic Church and of VFW 8748.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 25, 2006, at 9:30 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 South Mayflower Road, South Bend, is handling the arrangements.
