Ford R. Gottschalk

May 23, 1912 – June 24, 1984

Ford R. Gottschalk, 72, of 3417 Addison St., died at 3:45pm Sunday in Memorial Hospital.  He was a retired carpenter.

Born May 23, 1912, in Bourbon, he lived in South Bend for 30 years, coming from Bourbon.  On March 21, 1931, in Inwood IN, he married Elizabeth Plotner, who survives.  Also surviving are a son, Jay A. of South Bend; three grandchildren and his mother, Eva Gottschalk of Plymouth.

Services will be at 11am Tuesday the Ireland Road Grace Brethren Church, and burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.

Friends may call form 6 to9pm today in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan St.  He was a member of the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to Camp Ray Bird.
