James R. Gore, Sr.
Aug. 30, 1914 - Feb. 5, 1998
James R. Gore, Sr, 83, of St. Paul's Health
Care Center, formerly of 518 N. Johnson Street, passed away on
Thurday, Feb. 5, in the Health Care Center.
He was born on August 30, 1914, in South
Bend, Ind., and was a lifelong area resident. He retired from the
A.M. General Corporation in 1977. On June 22, 1940, in South
Bend, he married Henrietta Radecki, who survives. He is also
survived by a daughter, Judith Kay Kruk of Mishawaka, Ind., a son
James R. Gore, Jr., and his wife Barbara of South Bend, Ind.,
four grandchildren, Richard Kruk of Mishawaka, Randall Kruk of
Phoenix, Ariz., Joseph Gore of Granger, Ind., and Timothy Gore of
South Bend; four great-grandchildren, David Kruk of South Bend,
and Jonathon, Elizabeth and Emily Gore all of Granger; and by
three sisters, Ruth Stanco and Margaret " Lee"
Massingill, both of St. Petersburg, FLa. and Virginia Driggs of
New Port Richey, FLa. Mr. Gore was a member of St. Stanislaus
Parish and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on
Monday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Burial will follow in
St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.
m. on Sunday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive,
where a parish Rosary will be recited at 3 p. m. Memorial
