Henrietta R. Gore

Sept. 10, 1915 - March 22, 1999

Henrietta R. Gore, 83, of St. Paul's Retirement Community, passed away at 11:45 p.m. on Monday, March 22, in the retirement community.

Mrs. Gore was born on Sept. 10, 1915, in South Bend, Ind., and was a lifelong resident. She retired in 1977 from the University of Notre Dame where she was employed as a laundry worker. Mrs. Gore was a member of the Polish Women's Alliance.

On June 22, 1940, in South Bend, as Henrietta R. Radcki, she married James R. Gore, Sr., who died on Feb. 5, 1998. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Micinski and Sister Mary Leonia.

She is survived by a daughter, Judy Kruk of Mishawaka, Ind.; a son, James R. (Barbara) Gore of South Bend; four grandchildren, Richard Kruk of Mishawaka, Randy Kruk of Phoenix, Ariz., Joseph (Tracey) Gore of Granger, Ind., and Timothy Gore of South Bend; and by four great-grandchildren, David Kruk, Jonathon Gore, Elizabeth Gore and Emily Gore.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 26, in St. Stanislaus Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a parish vigil will be held at 6:30 p.m.
