Earl W. Gordon, 81, of 933 35th, South Bend, died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Hospital after a short illness.  He was born on Nov. 13, 1897, in Gas City, Ind.  He lived in Mishawaka and South Bend all of his life, having coming here from Gas City.  In 1962, he retired from Uniroyal, Mishawaka, after 46 years.  He married Hattie DeLong in South Bend on Aug. 9, 1917.  She preceded him in death on April 17, 1971.  He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Delight Sheaks of Mishawaka and Mrs. Ethel Bruegel of Mishawaka.  Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the Bubb Funeral Chapel where services will be at 1 p.m. Monday with Ref. Clifford Batterbee of the Liberty Drive United Missionary Church, officiating.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Funeral Notes.  GORDON - Services were held Monday for Earl W. Gordon, 81, of 933 E. 5th, who died Saturday in St. Joseph Hospital.  Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.  Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Adella Allison of Mishawaka and Mrs. Joseph (Esther) Crowley of Elkhart, a granddaughter, and two great-grandsons.
