Mrs. Anna M. Gorczyca

July 20, 1888 – December 29, 1979

Mrs. Anna M. Gorczyca, 91, a resident of the Carlyle Nursing Home, died at 3:50pm Saturday in St Joseph Hospital after an extended illness.  She had lived for a number of years at 2416 W. Orange.

She was born July 20, 1888, in Poland and had lived in South Bend for 40 years, coming here from Minneapolis MN.  In 1938, as Anna Traczyk, she married Ludwik Gorczyca who died September 6, 1969.

Surviving are four nieces, Mrs. Genevieve Smith, Mrs. Victoria Barkes, Mrs. Zita Scott and Mrs. Florence Warnke, all of Minneapolis, and two nephews Stanley Czson and Chester Torncheck, also of Minneapolis.

She was a member of St Mary’s Polish National Catholic Church.  Kaniewski & Sons are in charge of arrangements.
