David C. Goodling

David C. Goodling, 56, of Miami Road, Bremen, IN passed away at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, in his residence. He was born on Dec. 19, 1949, in South Bend, to Harold N. and Bernice T. (Beron) Goodling. Mr. Goodling is survived by a brother, Wayne Goodling of South Bend; a niece, Rachel Goodling of Washington, D.C. and a nephew, Matthew (Cindee) Goodling of South Bend. His mother and father preceded him in death.

Mr. Goodling was a lifelong area resident. He worked as a receiving clerk at National Standard out of high school. After several years, he became a full time caregiver to his parents. For the past seven years, he ran a booth at the Farmers Market where he sold flowers and his original artwork. David loved art and created things of beauty. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in North Liberty where he recently received recognition for his years of service to the church.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 24955 Riley Road, North Liberty. Rev. Vicky Blough will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. today, in Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan St., Lakeville, IN.
