David C. Good, 94, of Kettering
Drive, South Bend, Ind., passed away in his home at 3 a.m.
Sunday, Oct. 31. David was born Aug. 27, 1910, in Miami, N.M., to
John W. and Marie (Jensen) Good.
On Jan. 20, 1934, in Detroit, Mich., David
married Mathilda "Tillie" Verhaegen, who
survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Janet S. (Robert) Krebbs
of Clearwater, Fla., and Dianne L. (John) McInerney of
Monroeville, Pa.; two sons, David P. (Kathy) and Robert A.
(Carole), both of South Bend; two sisters, Pearl (Wallace) Aldrich
of North Liberty, Ind., and Leona Holderred of Goshen,
Ind.; a brother, Harold (LaDonna) McGwin of Englewood,
Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, and one
great-great grandson, Jacob Michael Good. David was preceded in
death by his parents; four brothers, Donald A., identical twin
brother, Paul, Russell and Lloyd; and by a great-grandson,
Jeffrey Douglas Smith. David retired as a custodian from the
South Bend Community School Corporation in 1975 after 16 years of
service.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today,
Nov. 3, in Little Flower Catholic Church of South Bend. Funeral
services will be on Thursday, Nov. 4, at 10 a.m. in the church.
Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind. In
lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Little
Flower Catholic Church Building Fund or to Hospice of St. Joseph
County. Arrangements are being handled by the McGann Funeral
Home, University Area Chapel, 2313 E. Edison Road, South Bend,
IN.
