Peter J. Goetzinger.
Peter J. Goetzinger, aged 50, of 705 North Notre Dame avenue, for several years
a clerk at the NcInerny-Hans Co., cigar store, 110 North Main street, died in
his home shortly after midnight this morning. He was ill several months
with a heart ailment. He was born in Chicago, April 14, 1888, and came
here 19 years ago from that city. He was married in 1920 to Helena
Grueger, who survives. He leaves also three sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Hunt
and Mrs. Lena Rumsey, South Bend, and Mrs. John M. Dunn, Kalamazoo, Mich.; and
two brothers, Michael E. Goetzinger, this city, and Nicholas J. Goetzinger,
Galien, Mich. Friends will be received in the residence and the funeral
will take place at 9 a. m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic church in
which he was an active parish leader. Rev. Wendell P. Corcoran, C. S. C.,
pastor, will sing the requiem mass and burial will be in Highland
cemetery. Mr. Goetzinger was a veteran of the world war, having served
with the United States navy.
