Feb. 20, 1916 - Mar. 25, 2010MISHAWAKA - Catherine M. Goeller, 94, of Mishawaka, passed away Thursday morning, March 25, 2010 in her lifelong home. Catherine was born February 20, 1916 in Mishawaka, a daughter of the late Otto and Sarah (Schuhmacher) Goeller. She was a graduate of St. Monica Grade School and Mishawaka High School in 1934. Catherine retired from Uniroyal after 40 years of employment. She belonged to the Uniroyal Ladies Retiree Club. Catherine was a lifelong member of St. Monica Catholic Church and belonged to the Legion of Mary, Rosary Society, and Christ Child Society. She was a member of the Mishawaka Alumni Association. Catherine's surviving family includes her sister, Elizabeth Goeller of Mishawaka; nieces and nephews, James (Sherry) Goeller of Maryland, Joseph Goeller of Indianapolis, Patricia (Basil) Leslie of Mishawaka, Kathleen Agostino of Osceola, Marie Ann (Joseph) Burt of Granger, Mary J. (Alex) Edenhofer of Oregon and Sara Brown of Oregon; many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Catherine was preceded in death by three brothers, Vincent Goeller, Victor Goeller and Herman Goeller; and a sister, F. Clara Wharton. Friends may spend time with Catherine's family on Sunday from 2 - 6 pm in Thallemer, Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 West 3rd Street, Mishawaka where the Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 am in St. Monica Catholic Church, 222 West Mishawaka Ave., Mishawaka with Rev. Jeffery Largent officiating. Visitation will be in the church from 9:30 am - 10:30 am Monday. Burial will follow the Mass in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Mishawaka. Contributions in Catherine's memory may be directed to St. Monica Church or Christ Child Society or The Center for Hospice & Palliative Care.
