MISHAWAKA - Robert LeRoy Goddard, 87,
of Birchwood Drive, Mishawaka, passed away at 11:40 p.m.
Thursday, June 5, in the Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation
Center, South Bend. He retired from Uniroyal Corporation after
several years of service. Robert was born on September 17, 1920,
in South Bend, to the late Glenn and Agnes (Michael) Goddard, and
had lived in this area most of his life. On January 1, 1966, in
Elkhart, IN, he married the former Rose F. Kiraly, who preceded
him in death on March 23, 2007. He was also preceded in death by
a son, Gregory K. Wucsina in 1999, and a sister, Ruth Livingood.
Surviving Robert are a daughter, Tireney Wucsina of Mishawaka,
and a son, Stephen Mark Wucsina of Scottsdale, AZ. Robert was
active at the Battell Community Center, Mishawaka, where he
enjoyed playing volley ball. He loved Chicago Cubs baseball, was
an avid fisherman and a fan of all Notre Dame sports. Robert
loved watching sports, and traveling and spending time in Florida
where he loved watching the dolphins play in the ocean. Robert
mostly loved his family and pets.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 PM on Monday,
June 9, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
