Yolanda Glon, 92, of the Countryside
Place Nursing Home, formerly of S. Olive Street, passed away at
9:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, in the nursing home. Mrs. Glon
was a former employee of Wilson Brothers. Yolanda was a member of
St. Adalbert Church, its Harvest House and was an honorary member
of the Rosary Society. She was born on Oct. 18, 1908 in South
Bend, Ind., to Stephen and Hedwige Jeziorski.
On Aug. 30, 1933, in South Bend, as Yolanda
Jeziorski, she married Anthony S. Glon, who died on Aug. 2, 1991.
Yolanda was also preceded in death by four brothers and six
sisters. Surviving are two daughters, Rosalie (John) Horth
of South Bend and Marcia (James) Dujardin of Janesville,
Wis.; a son, Leonard (Sharon) Glon of South Bend; eight
grandchildren, Jody (Bob) Brinks, Janell (Gary) Tobolski
and Therese (John) Hedges, all of South Bend, Michael
(Renee) Horth of Marcel, Minn., Donald (Penny) Horth of
Mishawaka, Ind., Annette (Joel) Hovestol of Elkhorn, Wis.,
Brian (Jill) Dujardin of Neenah, Wis., and Paul (DyAnna)
Dujardin of Mukwonago, Wis.; 18 great-grandchildren and two
great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Anna Michalski
of New Carlisle, Ind., and Henrietta Glon of South Bend.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 2, in St. Adalbert
Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today in the Zahoran
Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue, where a Rosary will be
recited at 3:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County or to the donor's choice.
