Harry R. Glon: (South Bend Tribune 5/2/1975)
Harry R. Glon, 50, of Rt. 2, New Carlisle, died at 2:25 p.m.
Thursday in Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Glon was a
farmer and a New Prairie school system bus driver. Born on Nov.
17, 1924, in New Carlisle, he had lived in the area all his life.
On June 21, 1952, in Terre Coupee, he married Joanne Setlak, who
survives. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Mary Glon of New
Carlisle; three sons, Joel, Leon and John, and a daughter, Laura,
all at home; a brother, Paul R. of South Bend, and a sister, Mrs.
Evelyn Rutkowski of South Bend. Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday
in the St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, Terre Coupee. Rev.
Thaddeus A. Kwak, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the
St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday
and 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a
parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday. Glon was a member
of Lodge 3778, Polish National Alliance, and the advisory board
of Olive Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to the New
Carlisle Little League, in care of the principal of Olive Twp.
