Dorothy E. Gleissner

An inurnment service for Dorothy E. Gleissner, 93, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, May 3, at the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, Ind.

Dorothy passed away April 15, 2002, in Safford, Ariz. Dorothy was born March 28, 1909, in Huntington, Ind. She grew up and went to school there. She received her education and degree in nursing while at St. Joseph's Hospital in South Bend, Ind. She continued in nursing for 50 years, working at Holy Family Hospital, private practice and a nursing home.

In December 1926 she was married to George W. Gleissner, and they were together for 40 years. George passed away in 1969.

Dorothy was an active member of St. Peter's parish. She enjoyed traveling, and card playing with friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Green of Safford; a son, George J. Gleissner in Owasso, Okla.; and by seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Service in Safford directed by Bunker's Caldwell Chapel.
