Sister Mary Pacifica CSC, of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, died Saturday evening in Saint Mary’s Convent following a prolonged illness. Born Elizabeth J. Gleason in Cincinnati in 1881, she received the habit of the Congregation in 1901 and made her profession of vows in 1906. She had been in residence at the convent since 1963, and had been assigned to Washington DC, Idaho, California, Utah and South Bend during her community life.

A requiem high mass will be celebrated at 7 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s and burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus. Friends may call at the convent parlor until 7 p.m. today.
