SOUTH BEND – Laura Lynn Gizzi, 23, of 238 E. Eckman Street was pronounced dead of arrival at 8:20 a.m. Sunday at Memorial Hospital. Dr. Michael O’Connell, St. Joseph County deputy coroner, said he is waiting the results of test to determine the cause of death. She was a nurse’s assistant at Michiana Community Hospital and did private-duty nursing work for Associated Health Care. She was born May 4, 1964 in South Bend and lived in the area all her life.

Surviving are a daughter, Hope Carmina Gizzi, at home; a sister Beth Gizzi of Mishawaka; a brother Tim Gizzi of South Bend; and her parents Emilio “Guy” and Linda Gizzi of South Bend.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Matthew Cathedral. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hahn’s DeVos Funeral Home in Mishawaka. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
