SOUTH BEND - Helen C. Gilman, 91, of Ironwood Drive, died about 8 a.m. Saturday in her home.

Mrs. Gilman was born June 26, 1904, in South Bend. On June 27, 1925, in Mishawaka, as Helen C. Miliken, she married Ernest A. Gilman. He died Jan. 17, 1980. She is survived by a daughter, Mary L. Bowerman of Osceola; four sons, Paul E. of LaGrange, Warren L. of Woodland, Arthur A. of Mishawaka, and Bruce of Watkins, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Hazel Williams of Mishawaka. She was a member of Coalbush United Methodist Church, Mishawaka, and St. Joseph County Farm Bureau.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in Ferrisville Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Hahn Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or American Heart Association.
