MISHAWAKA - Marna J. Gilliland, 86, formerly of West 16th Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 10:56 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6, in St. Joseph Community Hospital. Marna was born on Aug. 29, 1911, in Mishawaka, and was a lifelong area resident. She was formerly employed by the Mishawaka City Gas office and the Uniroyal Corporation.

On April 23, 1941, in Elkhart, Ind., Marna J. Scheibley married William R. Gilliland, who preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 1994. Marna was also preceded in death by a sister, Dortha. She is survived by a son, David J. Gilliland of Mishawaka; two grandchildren, Stephanie Gilliland and Raymond Gilliland, both of Mishawaka; a sister, Louise Miller of Canada; and by four brothers, Paul Deethardt of Seattle, Wash., Jack Deethardt of Denver, Colo., Philip Deethardt and Bill Deethardt, both of Mishawaka.

Services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind.
