Herbert F. Gill
Herbert F. Gill, 54832 Lucille Ave., died in Memorial Hospital
at 2:27 p.m. Friday after an illness of two weeks. Born in Kane, Pa. March 6,
1916, he came here 13 years ago from Pennsylvania. He was employed by the
Valley Specialties Co., South Bend. Surviving are his widow, Fette; a son
David, and a daughter Karia, at home; a sister, Mrs. Warren Shook, Barstow,
Calif., and his stepfather, and mother, Mrs. and Mrs. Paul Linneen, of
Pennsylvania. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Orvis Funeral Home,
where the funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday. Rev. Paul Chalfant, D.D.,
pastor of Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, will be officiate. Mr. Gill served in
the Army in World War II and was a member of Post 303, American Legion Post
1167, Veterans of Foreign Wars; the Army and Navy Union, the Marine Corp
League; Aerie 435 Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Mishawaka Moose Club.
