Charles A. Gill
Charles A. Gill, age 70, died
in his home 305 East Dayton Street Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock following a
two years illness of hardening of the arteries. Mr. Gill was a retired grocer,
having operated a grocery on East Milton Street until two years ago. He was
born in Wells County, Ind. Oct. 2, 1859 and had lived in this vicinity for many
years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Hester Gill, a son Rudolph Gill of Andrews,
Ind., and two brothers Adam Gill of Sandusky, Mich. and John Gill, of
Chicago.
The body may be viewed at the G. O. Gaff funeral
parlors until Wednesday afternoon, following which it will be at the residence.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Broadway Evangelical church Thursday
morning at 9:30 o'clock with Rev. G. S. Lozier, pastor officiating. Burial will
be in Albion, Mich.
