Asa Gill Dies At Healthwin
Former Resident of Bremen, Ill 18 Months
After an illness of 18 months, Asa Arthur Gill,
aged 56, of 1213 East Third Street, died at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday in Healthwin
hospital, north of South Bend. Mr. Gill was born March 18, 1886, in Starke
County, Indiana, and came to Mishawaka 21 years ago from Bremen, Ind. He
married Miss Enda Brown March 1, 1915, in Bremen.
Surviving are his wife; his mothers, Mrs. Cora
Coil, of Mishawaka; five half sisters, Mrs. Ralph Smith, Mrs. Joseph Kunce,
Mrs. Thomas King, Mrs. Morris Beisbrouck and Mrs. Ethel Mestach, all of
Mishawaka; six half brothers. Clem Coil, of Osceola; Russell Coil, Carm Coil
and Melvin P. Coil, all of Mishawaka and R. J. Gill and Marvin Gill, both of
South Bend.
Mr. Gill was a member of Mishawaka lodge No 1262,
Loyal Order of Moose. Friends may call at Bubb chapel after 5 p.m. today. A
short prayer services will take place at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the church
followed by a service at 2:30 p.m. in Salem Evangelical church Bremen. Rev.
Richard Coil, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene, assisted by Rev. I. H.
Griesmer, of Salem Evangelical church, will officiate and burial will be in
Bremen.
