MISHAWAKA - Euretha E. Gillam, 84, formerly of East Borley
Avenue, Mishawaka, passed away in the Golden Living Center on
Monday, July 14th. She was born in Mishawaka on November 6, 1923,
to the late Allen R. and Gladys M. (Leibhart) Troupe.
On March 6, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, Euretha married Arthur B.
Gillam, who preceded her in death on June 14, 1993. Euretha is
survived by two daughters, Diana L. (Larry) Snyder of
South Bend and Judith (Bob) Rassmusen of Volinia,
Michigan; two sons, Jack Lee Gillam and Michael Gillam, both of
Mishawaka; and by 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren
and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by
two sisters, Elouise Ference and Evelyn Richards,
and by a brother, Richard Troupe. Euretha was a former president
of the PTA and was a leader for the Camp Fire Girls and was also
a Cub Scout leader. She worked at Ball Band during Word War II
and had also worked at Notre Dame.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today,
July 17th, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St.,
Mishawaka. Funeral services celebrating Euretha's life will be
held at 10 a.m. on Friday in the funeral chapel, with Rev. Darren
Huff officiating. Burial is to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial
Gardens in Osceola. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of
flowers to the Mishawaka Church of God of Prophecy, 12800
McKinley Hwy., Mishawaka, IN, or to hospice. The family wishes to
thank Golden Living Center for their wonderful care and support
of both Mrs. Gillam and her family.
