Adelina Giacomini

MISHAWAKA – Mrs. Adelina Giacomini, 85, of 1113 S. Main, died at 12:50 p.m. Sunday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Delores Verbeke of 1118 S. Main, with whom she had been staying. She was born on March 31, 1895 in San Archangelo, Forti, Italy, and moved to Mishawaka from Italy in 1913.

As Adelina Allessi she married Ugo Giacomini on Dec. 19, 1911 in San Archangelo. He died on July 19, 1964. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Julia) Bupp, Mrs. Everett (Anita) Ransberger and Mrs. Alfred (Dolores) Verbeke of Mishawaka; two sons Ray and Guerino Giacomini, both of Mishawaka, and 13 grandchildren.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Hahn-Peffley-DeVos Funeral Chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church. Rev. Gerald Gillig, pastor, will officiate, and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. A wake service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral chapel.
