SOUTH BEND - Richard H. Geyer, 68, of 515 E. Monroe St., died at 3:09 a.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital. Mr. Geyer retired from Bendix Corp. He was born July 30, 1926, in South Bend.

On Oct. 27, 1984, in South Bend, he married Shirley Layton. She died April 26, 1989. He is survived by a daughter, Deborah Miller of Granger; two grandchildren; and two brothers, James of Niles and Robert of South Bend.

He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of American Legion Post 50 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9820.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in Sumption Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.
