MISHAWAKA - Mrs. Irma R. Gerstbauer, 56, of 721 S. Main Street, died at 11:05 Monday in St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Gerstbauer was born on May 10, 1924 in Mishawaka and had been a lifelong resident.

On. Nov. 30, 1946, as Irma Raes, she married Joseph N. Gerstbauer, who survives with a daughter, Mrs. David (Louann) Hall of Mishawaka, a grandchild and her father Rene Raes. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Hahn-Peffley-DeVos Funeral Chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church. Rev. Stephen Cvaniga, former pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral chapel.
