MISHAWAKA - Josephine Germano, 85, of 502 E. Broadway Street, died early this morning in St. Joseph Medical Center in South Bend, after an illness. She was a seamstress. Shje was born March 7, 1900 in Plati, Reggio, Calabria, Italy and lived in this area after coming from there in 1929.

As Josephine Barbaro, she married Frank Germano in Plati in 1920. He survives, along with a daughter, Catherine Koscielski of South Bend; three sons, Rocco of Mishawaka, and Dominic M. and Anthony J., both of South Bend; 14 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church, and a member of the woman’s auxillary of the Diloretto Club.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Monica’s Catholic Church and burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Bubb Fneral Home,
