Mary E. Germann, 78, of 1356 W. Grant
Street, Bremen, Ind., died after a short illness at 3:02 p.m.
Tuesday, Feb. 11, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center,
Mishawaka, Ind.
She was born Jan. 7, 1925, in Mishawaka, to
the late Claude and Rose (Barnes) Widup. She was
also preceded in death by two infant brothers, and a brother,
Jerry Widup. She was a member of the Bremen Bible Church. She had
been a volunteer for several years with the Madison Township 4-H
and as a librarian for the Madison School. She was a lifelong
area resident and a homemaker.
On Feb. 18, 1950, she married Kenneth D.
Germann, who survives. She is also survived by a son, Richard A.
(Christine) Germann of Niles, Mich.; two daughters, Kathleen A.
Germann of Bremen and Marian L. (Bill) Steffen of New
Haven, Ind.; three grandchildren, Tad and Tia Germann at home,
and Chris Steffen at home; two brothers, Ronnie Widup of Jackson,
Ga., and Dean Widup of Osceola, Ind.; four sisters, Madge Woolet
of Osceola, Betty Goodman of South Bend, Nancy Dreibelbis
of Lakeville, Ind., and Sue Mims of Prattville, Ala.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday,
Feb. 15, in the Bremen Bible Church, with Pastors J. Dean Beals
and Earl Zeltwanger officiating. Burial will be at Bremen
Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Feb. 14, in
the Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen, and one hour prior to services
in the church on Saturday. Pallbearers will be Tad Steffen, John
and Rick Dreibelbis, Tim and Rich Widup, and Brian Woolet.
Memorials may be made to the Bremen Bible Church. The Mishler
Funeral Home, Bremen, is handling arrangements.
