Albert T. Geopfrich, 59, of 702 N.
Johnson, died about 3 p.m. Tuesday in his residence, apparently
after suffering a heart attack. He was employed by Curtis
Products and had been employed 32 years by the former Drewry's
Ltd.. He was born on Feb. 15, 1919, in South Bend and lived here
all of his life. On June 23, 1943, in South Bend, he married
Elizabeth L. Flatoff, who survives, along with two
sisters, Mrs. Marie Strantz of South Bend and Mrs. Rose Schneider
of Elkhart.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday in Holy
Cross Catholic Church with Rev. William J. Neidhart, C.S.C.,
pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends
may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to p.m. Thursday in
Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where the parish rosary will
be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Goepfrich was a World War II
veteran and a member of Eagles Lodge; the German Club DFV; the
St. Stephen Society of St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic
Church; and Pulaski Post 357, American Legion. Memorial
contributions may be made to the Heart Fund or Holy Cross Church.
