MISHAWAKA - Rose I. Garson, 92, of Mishawaka, died at 4:00
AM Wednesday, February 20, 2008, in the Holy Cross Care and
Rehabilitation Center. The family wishes to thank the entire
staff at the Holy Cross Care Center for the exceptional loving
care and compassion shown to Rose during her stay. Rose was born
December 15, 1915, to the late Joseph and Rosa Hatos in
Hammond, Indiana.
On October 24, 1936, as Rose Hatos, she
married Earl P. Garson, who preceded her in death on February 10,
1981. Survivors include one son, Earl E. (Selva) Garson of
Mishawaka, and one daughter, Nancy Deka Best of
Fayetteville, North Carolina. Also surviving are four
grandchildren, Sherry Garson of Fishers, Indiana, Cindy (Joel) Lamey
of Fishers, Indiana, Debbie (David) Rice of Charlotte,
North Carolina, and Daniel (Kipp) Deka of Boise, Idaho;
three great-grandchildren, Sydney Hartvigsen and Brycen
Deka of Boise, Idaho, and Alex Rice of Charlotte, North Carolina.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated at noon on Saturday, Feb. 23, in Holy Cross Catholic
Church, with entombment to follow in Riverview Mausoleum, South
Bend. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday,
Feb. 23, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive.
