WALKERTON - Memorial services for Richard H. Garnett, 73, of 217 Lilac Lane, Fish Lake, who died at 7:25 p.m. Sunday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, Ind., will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Haverstock Chapel, LaPorte. Cremation will take place, with burial in Salem Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Mr. Garnett retired from Kroger Co. after 10 years of service as an office worker. He was born Oct. 13, 1922, in Chicago. On Oct. 17, 1958, in LaPorte, he married Elizabeth Durling. She survives with a sister, Mildred Garnett of Kansas City, Kan.; and a brother, Donald of Crestwood, Ill. He was a member of American Legion Post 400, Fish Lake, and a World War II Marine Corps veteran.
