12, 1937 - April 27, 2010AUSTIN, TX - Ronald C. Gardini, 72, of Mishawaka, IN, died at 8:30 a.m. at his home in Austin, TX. Ron was born October 12, 1937 in Mishawaka, IN to the late Dante Vincent and Clara Anita Gardini. On July 11, 1959 Ron married Shelba Jean Rice and together they nurtured a family of three children and four grand children. Surviving Ron is his son Christopher Alan Gardini and his wife Carol along with their three children Natalie Anne, Nicole Marie and Dante Christopher of Austin, TX; daughter Terri Gardini-Robinson and her daughter, Cori Shea of Palm City, FL; daughter, Lisa LeighAnn Gardini of Stuart, FL; his brother, Gary Gardini and his partner (Wally Spencer) of Reston, VA. Ron was an avid golfer who enjoyed the sport because he could always challenge himself to a better shot on the golf course and when that shot didn't come as he expected he looked nowhere else but the mirror for insight into the reasons why and then took action to better himself endeavoring to be successful at the next opportunity. It was no coincidence that the sport he so passionately played was individual in its nature as he lived the larger portion of his life alone though he was seldom lonely having the love he carried for his family and friends sustaining him despite the miles that separated them. Ron/Dad/Grandpa will be missed. Visitation for Ron will be Friday April 30th from 6-8 at the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN. A Service will be held on Saturday, May 1st at 11:00 a.m. with the Deacon Kevin Ranaghan officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
