Lucille Cecilia Gardini, 81, of 348 Woodies Lane, Bremen, passed away Monday, August 28, 2000, at Bremen Health Care Center following a lengthy illness.

She was born the daughter of Nicholas and Elizabeth Bonjorno on Dec. 13, 1918, in South Bend. On August 30, 1940, she married Aldo Gardini in Mishawaka, and he preceded her in death January 1, 1966.

Lucille was retired from St. Joseph Community Hospital housekeeping, and was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church in Mishawaka. She has resided in Bremen for the past six years, coming from Mishawaka.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Carol (Ron) Knisley and Teresa (Jerry) Pollock of Bremen; 1 son, Gerald (Sue) Gardini of Deltona, FL; 1 sister, Rose Spalding of South Bend; 1 brother, Michael Bonjorno of Mishawaka; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 son, Robert Gardini; 5 brothers, Pete, Paul, Joseph, Anthony and Dominick Bonjorno; and 2 grandsons, Richard Gardini and Greg Knisley.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 31, at the Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen. Father Robert Dombrowski will officiate.

She will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in South Bend.

Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Mishler Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice.
