7, 1915 - March 23, 2010MISHAWAKA - Clara A. Gardini, 94, of Mishawaka, died at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 23rd, at Hospice House in South Bend, IN. Clara was born December 7, 1915, in Lehigh, IA, to the late Rudolfo and Eva (Riva) Baldini. Also preceding her in death were two sisters and two brothers. On June 27, 1936, in St. Joseph Hospital Chapel, Mishawaka, Clara married Dante Gardini, who preceded her in death on January 30, 1973. Surviving are two sons, Gary Gardini and his partner, Wally Spencer of Reston, VA, and Ronald Gardini of Austin, TX; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren: Christopher (Carol) Gardini of Austin, TX, and their children, Natalie, Nicole and Dante Gardini; Terri Robinson of Palm City, FL, and her daughter, Cori Robinson; and Lisa Gardini of Stuart, FL. Also surviving is a special niece, Elva Gable of South Bend, and a cousin, Flora Nemeth-Vernasco of Mishawaka. Clara was a member of St. Bavo Catholic Church and the Ladies Auxiliary at the DeAmici's Club. She loved nature and being outdoors whether she was working in her garden or her flower beds. Also dear to her were her family and her friends who brought her great joy. Clara was employed at Ball Band and later at L.S. Ayres as a sales associate. Visitation for Clara will be Friday, March 26th, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., Mishawaka, where the Holy Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Bavo Catholic Church, 511 W. 7th St., Mishawaka, with the Rev. Barry England officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
