SOUTH BEND - Aldo V. Gardini, 50, of 3506 Woldhaven Drive, was dead on arrival at St. Joseph Hospital. Death was attributed to a heart attack. He was an Indiana and Michigan Electric Co. employees. Mr. Gardini was born Sept. 5, 1915 in Logansport, Ind. and had lived in South Bend 25 years, coming from Mishawaka.

He married the former Lucille Benjorno on Aug. 31, 1940 in South Bend. He is survived by his widow; two sons, Robert L. at home and Gerald V. of Mishawaka; two daughters, Carroll J. and Teresa M. both at home; three grandchildren; two brothers, Dante V. of Mishawaka and Fred of South Bend; a sister, Mrs. August Gasperoni of Mishawaka.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Matthews Catholic Cathedral, Rev. Charles Banet officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the Walsh-Bianco-Guisinger Colonial Chapel.
