Marge A. (Werwas) Ganus, 74, of West
Ford Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov.
15, in Hospice House of South Bend. She was born on Feb. 17,
1926, in South Bend, and was the daughter of the late Valentine
and Mary (Urbanski) Werwas. She was also preceded
in death by a sister, Irene Libertowski; and by a great-
grandchild, Lance Zalas. On Feb. 7, 1948, in South Bend,
as Marge Werwas, she married Henry Ganus, who survives. She is
also survived by a daughter, Mary Ann (Mark) Clark of
South Bend; two sons, Ron (Gayle) Ganus of South Bend and Michael
(Debra) Ganus of Granger, Ind.; seven grandchildren, Shannon
(Todd) Klimek of Carmel, Ind., Ryan Clark, Brenda Laughman,
Tom (Kelly) Ganus, Karen Ganus and Kristi Ganus, all of South
Bend, and Laura Ganus of Granger; six great-grandchildren, Tyler
Ganus, Allie Ganus, Drew Ganus, Jenna Laughman and Alix Bice,
all of South Bend, and Adam Klimek of Carmel, Ind.; and by a
brother, Henry Werwas of South Bend. Mrs. Ganus was a member of
the Harvest House of St. Adalbert Catholic Church and the Legion
of Mary.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m.
on Friday, Nov. 17, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S.
Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be said at 4 p.m. Services
will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, in St. Adalbert
Catholic Church. Entombment will be at the Resurrection Gardens
Mausoleum in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be
made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South
Bend, IN 46637.
