MISHAWAKA Edward A. Ganser,
80, of 815 E. 4thtreet, died about 9:30 a.m. today in St. Josep
Hospital where he had been a patent for four weeks. He was born
on Oct. 13, 1891 in Mishawaka and had been a lifetime resident.
He married the former Rose Steif in
St. Monicas Catholic Church on Jan. 12, 1916. Surviving in
addition to his wife are three daughters, Mrs. Margaret DeBroka
of Mishawaka, Mrs. Floyd Catterlin of Michigan City, and
Mrs. Richard Hahn of Mishawaka; eight grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; and two brothers, John and Simon, both of
Mishawaka.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St.
Joseph Catholic Church. Msgr. Curt A> Suelzer, pastor, will
officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mr. Ganser was
a member of St. Joseph Church. He retired from the Dodge
Manufacturing in 1959 and was a member of the Dodge Athletic
Assoc., a charter member of the Mishawaka-Penn Twp. Democratic
Club and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Friends may call until
the time of services at Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home where the
rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
