Robert B. Galvas

September 7, 1933 – January 28, 1964

Robert B. Galvas, 30 of 222 Village Way, was dead on arrival at 3pm Tuesday at Memorial Hospital.  He had been under a physician’s care for a heart ailment.  He had been employed at the Roach-Appleton Manufacturing Co. for ten years.

Born on September 7, 1933, in South Bend, he married Bernice Brzezinski on November 28, 1953, in St Patrick’s Catholic Church.  His widow survives.  Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Verna Galvas, of South Bend; a son, Christopher, at home, and his maternal grandfather, Charles Wroblewski, also of South Bend.

Friends may call after 2pm Thursday in the Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Chapel.  Services will be at 11:30pm Saturday in Holy Family Catholic Church.  Rev. Joseph Lesniak, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery.

Pallbearers at services for Robert B. Galvas, 222 Village Way, who died Tuesday, will be Theodore Novak, John Kaszyk, Richard Paczkowski, Casimir Lemanski, Clement Solmos and Edward Beczkiewicz.

Funeral rites will be at 11:30am Saturday in Holy Family Catholic Church.  Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Chapel.
