Mrs. Irene Galentine

February 29, 1904 – September 29, 1979

Mrs. Irene Galentine, 75, of 23206 US 20, Lot 26, died at 7:15am today in Healthwin Hospital after an extended illness.

Born on February 29, 1904, in South Bend, she had lived here her lifetime.  On April 12, 1928, as Irene Paris, she married John Galentine, who died January 10, 1970.  Surviving are a daughter, Miss Geraldine T. Galentine of South Bend; a son, James J. of Mishawaka; two grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Lillian Dierzniak, Mrs. Bernice Certes, Mrs. Grace Harmacinski and Mrs. Henrietta Tomaszewski, all of South Bend, and Mrs. Helen Miholich of Sun City AZ and a brother, Harold Paris of South Bend.

Services will be at 9am Tuesday in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home.  Rev. Daniel E. Peil, pastor of the Holy Family Catholic Church, will officiate.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.  Friends may call form 2 to 9pm Monday in the funeral home.
