March 9, 1917 - June 14, 2002

Mildred L. Gacki, 85, of Muncie, Ind., died after a sudden illness on Friday morning, June 14, in Ball Memorial Hospital.

She was born in South Bend, Ind., the daughter of William and Winona Gafken, attended South Bend Community Schools, and was a lifelong resident of South Bend until moving to Muncie in 1998. Mrs. Gacki attended Westminster Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Roberta J. Drake (husband, Robert) of Stow, Ohio, and Vickie Williamson (husband, Larry) of Muncie; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Peter Gacki (wife, Fleta) of East Lansing, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Stanley T. Gacki in 1999, her parents, a brother, a sister, a son and a daughter.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Westminster Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Brian Kinney officiating. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. today in Meeks Mortuary, Muncie, and after 10 a.m. Monday in the church.

Services will be also be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, South Bend. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 S. Bendix Drive, South Bend.
