Mrs. Mary Futter
Funeral rites for Mrs. Mary Futter, 77, of 516 W. 3rd St., who died Saturday night in her home, will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Josephs Catholic Church. Very Rev. Msgr. Curt A. Suelzer, pastor will officiate and burial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery.
The body of Mrs. Futter was found about 8 a.m. Sunday by a friend who called at her home to take her to church. She had been under a physicians care for many months. She was born in Germany and came to this country in 1890. As Mary Gonya, she married Charles Futter in 1945 in East Chicago, Ind. He died in 1957.
For several years before Mrs. Futter retired in 1945 she worked in the office of St. Josephs Hospital. Surviving are two stepsons, Clarence and Gene Futter, both of South Bend; two sisters, Mrs. Louis Dumond, of Leesburg, Fla., and Sister M. Martina, PHJC, of Gary and a brother, Victory Gonya, of Chicago. Mrs. Futter was a member of the St. Josephs Hospital Auxiliary.

Pallbearers will be Otto and G. L. Futter, Herman Goeller, Ned Miller, George Klein and Edward McMinn.
