Mrs. Eugene Futter

Mrs. Martha J. Futter, 302 S Coquillard Dr., died at noon Thursday in Memorial Hospital after a two-month illness.  She was born Feb 7, 1903, in Dunkirk, Ind., and came to South Bend in 1924.  She attended St. Mary’s College.  On June 12, 1929, she was married to Eugene C. Futter, who survives.  Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. P. Donald Haney of Yorktown Heights, N.Y., and Mrs. Williams J. Thirion of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lee T. Flatley of South Bend and a brother, Dr. John M. Singler, Palo Alto, Calif.  Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Hickey Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today.  She was a member of the Rosary Society of St. Anthony’s Parish.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Msgr. Jerome R. Bonk, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
