R. A. Futterknecht
After an illness of several years, Richard F. Futterknecht, 50, of 136 S. De Lorenzi Ave., died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in St. Josephs Hospital. He had been employed by the Ball-Band plant for 25 years.
Mr. Futterknecht was born in Mishawaka and had lived here all of his lifetime. He married Maxine Wilkinson in this city, July 25, 1936. She survives along with one daughter, Mrs. Fred Lutz Jr., of Mishawaka; two grandchildren; four brothers, Godfrey, Otto, Leo and Joseph Futterknecht, all of this city and a sister, Mrs. Alfred Trippel, also of Mishawaka.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:15 a.m. Saturday in St. Josephs Church. Very Rev. Msgr. Curt A. Suelzer, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Mr. Futterknecht was a member of the Mishawaka Aerie 2083, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Kappa Phi Fraternity. Pallbearers will be John Richard, Ralph and Dr. James Futterknecht, Robert Trippel and John Hart.
