Leo E. Futterknecht
Leo E. Futterknecht, 71, of 2819 Beechwood, South Bend, died at 11:42 p.m. Monday in St. Josephs Hospital, South Bend, after a short illness. Futterknecht retired in 1969 form Uniroyal. He was born in Mishawaka on July 22, 1907, and had lived here his lifetime. On July 2, 1923, in Mishawaka, he married Ruth Glass, who survives along with a daughter, Mrs. Walter (Amy) Yendes of South Bend; a son, Richard of Mishawaka; seven grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Alfred (Mary) Trippel of Mishawaka, and a brother, Joseph Futterknecht, of Mishawaka.
Friends may call in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Wednesday. Futterknecht was involved with St. Joseph Church, the Uniroyal Management Club, Harvest House and the Knights of Columbus, Mishawaka Council 1878.

Services for Leo E. Futterknecht, 71, of 2819 Beechwood, South Bend, who died Monday night in St. Josephs Hospital, South Bend, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Josephs Catholic Church. Rev. Robert Hoevel, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Mishawakas St. Joseph Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home.
