Joseph Futterknecht
Joseph Futterknecht, 69, of 315 S. Taylor, died shortly before 8 a.m. today in St. Josephs Hospital, South Bend, after a lengthy illness. Born on May 19, 1911, in Mishawaka, he lived in the area all his life. He was retired from the Bendix Corp. in 1972. On Jan. 9, 1930, in Mishawaka, he married Marion Vincent, who survives along with two daughters, Mrs. John (Colleen) Hart of Mishawaka and Mrs. Filiberto (Carol) Anastasio of Granger; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Trippel of Mishawaka.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Josephs Church, of which he was a member. Rev. Kenneth Sarrazine, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, where a wake will be conducted at 7 p.m.
