Charles J. Futter
Funeral services for Charles J. Futter, 81, who died Thursday morning in Beatty Memorial Hospital, Westville, Ind., will take place at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Josephs Catholic Church. Msgr. Curt A. Suelzer, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery.
Futter was born in Baden, Germany, and came here from that country in 1885. He married Josephine Van Holsbeke in St. Joseph Church in 1899 and she died Dec. 24, 1942. He married Mary Gonya in St. Marys Church, East Chicago, Ind., in 1944.
Futter was a retired superintendent of the leather division of the Ball-Band Plant after 44 years of work. Surviving are his widow; two sons, Gene, of Mishawaka, and Clarence, of South Bend; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild and one sister, Mrs. Sadie Bickel, of South Bend. Friends may call at the Thallemer-Goethals Chapel after 7 p.m. today.

Pallbearers for Charles J. Futter, 81, who died Thursday in Beatty Memorial Hospital, Westville, Ind., will be Otto Futter, Leo Futter, G. L. Futter, Richard Futter, Joseph Futter and Ronald Bickel. Members of Mishawaka Council 1878, Knights of Columbus, will recite the rosary in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Chapel at 7 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Editor: His God given name was Charles Joseph Futterknecht. He originally married Josephine Elizabeth VanHolsbeke and she passed away in 1942.
