Laura Furore, 71, of East Jefferson, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 8:05 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, in her residence. Laura was born in Newark, N.J., on June 3, 1927, to the late Antonietta and Peter Resciniti. As Laura Resciniti, she married Joseph Furore in Belleville, N.J., on July 12, 1947. Joseph died on Nov. 3, 1981. Laura was also preceded in death by a son, Peter Furore in 1967.
Laura is survived by a son, Joseph A. (Diane) Furore of Michigan City, Ind.; three grandchildren, Joseph R. Furore, Angela Marie Furore and Nicholas A. Furore, all of Michigan City; a brother, John Joseph (Clara) Resciniti of Belleville; and by two sisters-in-law, Betty Dembinski and Betty Furore, both of Mishawaka.
Laura retired from Uniroyal in 1989 after 35 years of service. She was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church, Mishawaka, the Rosary Society, the Legion of Mary, and she was a Eucharist minister for the church and St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka.
There will be a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Saturday in St. Monica Catholic Church. Burial will take place in the Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. There will be a wake service at 2:15 p.m. today in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
