John T. Funston

John T. Funston, 63, of 1840 Ridgedale Road, died at 5 a.m. today in his home after an illness.

Mr. Funston was president of Blossom Farm Products Co.-Funston Inc.

He was born June 3, 1925 in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On June 19, 1948 in Louisville, Ky. He married Charlotte H. Davis, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter Lisa Mahoney of Franklin, Tenn.; two granddaughters; a sister, Doris Boone of San Diego, Calif.; a brother Gilford M. of Pacific Grove, Calif.; his mother Zina Funston of San Diego; and his stepmother, Clara M. Funston of Mishawaka.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Cathedral of St. James Episcopal. Cremation will take place in Michiana Crematory. There will be no services or visitation. Welsheimer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Funston was a member of the church, where he was a former senior warden and South Bend Rotary; a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International, and a veteran of World War II.
