Charlotte H. Funston, 73, of Ridgedale Road, South Bend, Ind., died on Tuesday, July 8, at her daughter's home in Marietta, Ga.

She was born on March 31, 1924, in Shelbyville, Ky., to Herman S. and Mary Ethel Davis.

On June 19, 1948, as Charlotte Davis, she married John T. Funston in Louisville, Ky.

Charlotte retired from the accounting department of Uniroyal and worked with her husband at Blossom Farm Dairy Products, a business she shared with her husband.

She is survived by a daughter, Lisa (James T.) Mahoney; three grandchildren, Ashley, Amy and John, all of Marietta, Ga.; sisters, Helen (Eddie) Wheeler and Geneva (Tom) Whisman, both of Shelbyville, Ky.; and brothers, Ray (Helen) Davis of Shelbyville, Roy (Betty) Davis of Eminence, Ky., and Mac (Donna) Davis of Lawrenceville, Ky.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Cathedral of St. James Episcopal, 117 N. Lafayette, South Bend, where Charlotte was a member.
