Ivan W. "Ike" Fry, 91, of
Birchwood Drive, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 12:30 p.m., Jan.
8, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, following an
illness. On Nov. 16 1911, he was born to Leonard and Lillie
(Fulp) Fry in Royal Center, Ind. They both preceded him in death
along with three grandchildren, April Lynn Seltzer, Kenneth W.
Flickinger and Deborah Sue Fry; and also by a son, Gary W. Fry.
On July 9, 1937, he married the former Edna
Mathews in Bremen, Ind. She survives with their children, Keith
(Lindy) LeRoy Fry of Indianapolis, Ind., Jerold (Louise) Lee Fry
of Lewes, Dela., Judith Ann Davidson, Gloria Sue Bray, Faith
(Duane), Louise Null and Sandra Lynn Bingham, all of Mishawaka,
and Karen (Charles) Carmack of South Bend, Ind.; 17
grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and one
great-greatgrandchild. Also surviving is a sister, Letha Manley
of Elkhart, Ind.
Mr. Fry was a production worker at Bendix,
retiring in 1974 after 27 years. He was also a "Number
One" Cubs fan and was a member of the College Park
Missionary Church.
Funeral services for Mr. Fry will be held at
10 a.m. Saturday in the College Park Missionary Church,
Mishawaka. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today
in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka.
Burial will follow the services Saturday at Fairview Cemetery,
Mishawaka.
